1. Who we are

SchoolsOut ("SchoolsOut", "we", "us") is a school planner app for iPhone that helps you keep track of your classes, assignments, tests, events and breaks. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the SchoolsOut app (the "App") and this website.

2. Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically, SchoolsOut does not:

• ask you to create an account or sign in;
• ask for your name, email address, phone number, school or age;
• collect your location, contacts, photos or other device data;
• use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools of any kind;
• upload your schedule or anything you type to a server.

3. Data stored on your device

To work, the App saves the following on your device only:

• the classes you create (names, colours, rooms, days and times);
• assignments, tests, events and breaks, including their dates, times and completion status;
• acorns and weekly progress you've earned;
• your preferences, such as 12/24-hour time, weekend classes and colour choices.

This data never leaves your device through the App. If you use Apple's device backups (iCloud or computer backups), your App data may be included in those backups, which are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Third parties

We don't sell, rent or share your information with anyone — there's nothing for us to share. The App is distributed through Apple's App Store; Apple may collect information related to your download and purchase under its own privacy policy. If you choose to send us an email, we'll only use your email address and message to reply to you.

5. Children & students

SchoolsOut is designed for students, including those under 13. Because the App does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information, it can be used without providing any personal details. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information (for example, by email), contact us and we'll delete it.

6. Your choices & rights

You're always in control of your data:

• Edit or delete any class, task or event at any time inside the App.
• Erase everything by deleting the App from your device, which removes all its data.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Since we don't hold any personal data about App users, there is normally nothing for us to provide — but you're welcome to contact us with any request.

7. Security

Your App data lives in the App's private storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security, such as your passcode and Face ID or Touch ID. Keeping your device secure keeps your schedule secure.

8. This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or trackers. It loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and Google may receive your IP address, under Google's Privacy Policy. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how SchoolsOut handles information — for example, if we add an optional feature like syncing — we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. For significant changes, we'll let you know in the App.
